Thailand Entry Regulations for Airlines Passengers

The Thailand Immigration Bureau has established corresponding entry/transit regulations for different types of passports and visas, and reserves the right to refuse entry to passengers. In order to avoid the passengers from refusing to enter the country as far as possible, Spring Airlines will review passenger documents for flights to Thailand during check-in in accordance with IATA-TIM manual standards. The specific standards are as follows:

 

1.      Nationals of China(People's Rep ) with a normal passport traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok( BKK and DMK), Chiang Mai(CNX), Chiang Rai (CE), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket(HKT), Samui Int'l (USM), Sukhothai Int'l (THS), Surat Thani (URT)and Utapao (UTP)for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, 1 recent passport photo and at least THB 10,000. -per person (or THB 20,000 per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page.

2.      Passengers with a Chinese Taipei (on the cover. Republic of China Taiwan) passport traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok(BKK and DMK), Chiang Mai (CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket(HKT), Samui Int'l (USM), Sukhothai Int'l (THS), Surat Thani (URT) and Utapao (UTP) for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, 1 recent passport photo and at least THB 10,000.-per person (or THB 20,000.-per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page.

3.      Nationals of Andorra, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, San Marino, Saudi Arabia or Uzbekistan traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok (BKK and DMK), Chiang Mai (CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket (HKT), Samui Int'l (USM), Sukhothai Int'l (THS), Surat Thani (URT) and Utapao (UTP) for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, 1 recent passport photo and at least THB 10, 000.-per person (or THB 20,000.- per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page.

4.      Nationals of Bhutan, India, Romania and Ukraine with: a normal passport traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok (BKK and DMK), Chiang Mai (CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket (HKT), Samui Int'l (USM), Sukhothai Int'l (THS), Surat Thani (URT) and Utapao (UTP) for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, 1 recent passport photo and at least THB 10,000. -per person (or THB 20,000. -per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page.

5.      Nationals of India with an emergency passport traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok (BKK and DMK),Chiang Mai (CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket (HKT), Samui Int’l (USM), Sukhothai Int’l (THS), Surat Thani (URT) and Utapao (UTP)for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, 1 recent passport photo and at least THB 10,000.-per person (or THB 20,000. -per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page.

6.      Nationals of Romania with a temporary passport traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok (BKK and DMK), Chiang Mai (CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket (HKT), Samui Int'l (USM), Sukhothai Int'l (THS), Surat Thani (URT) and Utapao(UTP) for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, I recent passport photo and at least THB 10,000.per person (or THB 20,000.-per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page.

7.      Nationals of Ethiopia traveling as tourists can obtain a visa on arrival at Bangkok(BKK and DMK), Chiang Mai(CNX), Chiang Rai (CEI), Hat Yai (HDY), Krabi (KBV), Phuket (HKT), Samui Int'l(USM), Sukhothai Int'l (THS), Surat Thani (URT) and Utapao(UTP) for a maximum stay of 15 days. They must have a confirmed return/onward ticket with a departure within 15 days from arrival date, 1 recent passport photo and at least THB 10,000.- per person (or THB 20,000.per family). Their passport must contain at least 1 unused visa page and they must have a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.

 

The refusal to enter the country is a sovereign act of the government. Although there may be misjudgment, there is nothing the company can do except cooperate with the government authorities truthfully in the investigation. In order to avoid the company from administrative penalties or other joint losses, the company will according to the above standards for passenger documents examination, and passengers who refuse to cooperate will be refused to carry.

In order to protect your legitimate rights and ensure your smooth entry into the country, please pay attention to the following items:

1.      Please book the hotel in advance (know the name of the hotel) and return or go to a third country tickets, print out the relevant information, and properly carry it with you.

2.      Please prepare enough travel expenses and return tickets.

3.      Please avoid carrying items that are not related to your stated purpose of travel or any suspicious items.

4.      Please keep a good appearance and dress appropriately. If you are not clean and tidy, or if there are other circumstances that cause resentment or suspicion by the immigration officials of the destination country, you may be interrogated or even judged to be trying to illegally work, and may be refused entry.
