Spring Airlines Introduction
・Spring Airlines is the first private airline in China to earn CAAC’s (Civil Aviation Administration of China) top safety award.

Spring Airlines is one of the first private airlines in China. Headquartered in Shanghai, the airline has domestic bases at both of the city’s airports – Hongqiao and Pudong, as well as Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Shenzhen, Yangzhou, Ningbo, Lanzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, Dalian Nanchang and Jieyang. Overseas bases include Tokyo and Osaka in Japan, Bangkok in Thailand and Jeju in South Korea. In October 2018, Spring Airlines officially established Hebei branch, which is the first branch company of Spring Airlines.
After its inaugural flight on 18 July 2005, Spring now owns a fleet of 127 aircraft flying over 180 domestic routes, such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Sanya, Shenyang, Harbin, Dalian, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, Chongqing, Xi'an, Urumqi, Hohhot and more. In July 2010, Spring Airlines launched Shanghai Pudong – Ibaraki charter flight, marking the first time that Chinese private airline flew abroad. Nowadays Spring operates more than 30 international and regional routes in Asia, offering great number of connections from Shanghai and other cities in China to the popular destinations in Japan including Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya, Takamatsu, Fukuoka, Okinawa and Saga; destinations in South Korea including Seoul and Jeju. Growing number of scheduled flights to destinations in Southeast Asia including Singapore, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, as well as flights to Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai in Thailand. Spring Airlines Greater China network offers passengers flights to Hong Kong, Macau, as well as Taipei in Taiwan.
Since its innovative start, Spring Airlines has provided safe and smooth operation, and was the only airline that started its business without joining TravelSky booking system or using ticket agents to sell tickets. Instead it is using B2C online sales and direct mobile sales as its main sales channels. Spring is the first private airline in China to earn CAAC’s (Civil Aviation Administration of China) top safety award.In 2023, Spring Airlines has achieved 3 million hours of safe flight and has been honored with the "Three-Star Flight Safety Award".
On the basis of safety and punctuality, Spring Airlines offers passengers a range of personalized travel products and services, such as hotels, scenic spot entrance tickets, baggage upgrade, onboard meals, seat selection, visa, car rental and airport transfers. On 15 October 2018, Terminal 1 of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport has been reopened with a brand new look and one-stop intelligent facilities including fully automated self-service at check-in, baggage drop, security clearance and boarding for domestic flights. Shanghai-based Spring Airlines has shifted flight operations from T1 section A to section D, becoming one of the first airlines in China to use airport self-service system.
In 2023, the annual average load factor was 89.4% offering fares 30% lower than the market price of the same route. Despite rapid expansion, the company's goal remains simple: offer safe, punctual, cost-effective, personalized and friendly travel for all!
