A travel itinerary receipt is an Aviation Transport Electronic Ticket Itinerary Receipt, which is produced under the supervision of the State Administration of Taxation and incorporated into the tax authority's invoice management system according to the Measures of the People's Republic of China for the Management of Tax Invoices. It serves as both the payment and reimbursement certificate for passengers purchasing domestic air transport electronic tickets. The itinerary receipt functions simultaneously as a special invoice, a transport certificate, prima facie evidence of the formation of the air transport contract, and a registered negotiable security (ticket). According to the regulations of the State Administration of Taxation and the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the itinerary receipt has been used as the reimbursement certificate for passengers purchasing electronic tickets since 1 June 2006.
