Children Traveling Alone (Junior Support Service)

Junior Support Service is not available for SPRING JAPAN international flights.

Inquiries about Junior Support Service can be made through the SPRING JAPAN Call Center.

Expectant Mothers

Please note;

You are permitted to board without prior notice, provided you meet the following requirements. However, if you make us aware of your situation at the time of booking, check in on the day can be expedited.

  • Maternal and Child Health Handbook

  • If you do not have a Maternal and Child Health Handbook, please bring a document that shows your due date.

  • Medical Information Form (MEDIF) (32 to 34 weeks)

  • Waiver Form (32 to 34 weeks)

Our staff will check your documents and confirm your fitness to fly at the check-in counter.

※You need a Medical Information Form (MEDIF) from your obstetrician.

  • Passengers must submit a completed Waiver Form and the Medical Information Form (MEDIF) completed by your obstetrician.

  • If you do not have a MEDIF or Waiver Form, or do not meet the requirements, you will not be able to board.

The conditions in the MEDIF are as follows:

  • It must be filled out by your obstetrician

  • It must indicate how many weeks pregnant you are.

  • There should be a statement that you can travel by air through a diagnosis from your obstetrician.

  • On domestic flights, the MEDIF must be issued within seven days of boarding including the boarding date.

  • In the case of a round-trip, fill in the date of boarding for the return flight on SPRING JAPAN, and the MEDIF must be issued within 7 days of each boarding date for domestic flights

  • Be sure to bring your Maternal and Child Health Handbook or other document that shows your due date.

  • You are permitted tobring a child who is 2 years or older. We cannot accept bookings where you will be travelling with a child under 2 years old.

Please fasten your seat belt so that it goes low across your waist, ensuring that it does not put pressure on your abdomen.

Expectant mothers travelling with infants

Expectant motherswho are 32 weeks or further into their pregnancy will not be permitted to travel with an infantunder the age of 2 on board.

Precautions on the day of departure

On the day of the flight, it will take some time to check your documents to ensure your fitness to fly. You are not permitted to use the automatic check-in machines. Please come to the check-in counter.

Please arrive at the airport early with plenty of time (about 90 minutes prior to departure).

When boarding, we will assist you to the cabin with priority. Please be at the boarding gate by the boarding time.

Q1. I am pregnant.Can I sit in an exit row seat?

A.As passengers seated in exit row seats are required to assistin an emergency evacuation, expectant mothers are not permitted to use exit row seats.

Q2. I am pregnant. What assistance can you offer?

A.We offer priority boarding for expectant mothers. If you have any problems on board, please feel free to ask our cabin attendant.

Elderly Passengers

Inquiries about services for elderly passengers can be made through our Call Center.

Information

  1. Reservations for customers who need assistance can be made through our Call Center. Please let us know what assistance is needed when you make a reservation. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request, so please contact us at your earliest convenience.

  2. Depending on the type of assistance, a Medical Information Form (MEDIF) and Waiver Form need to be prepared. Please download, fill out and submit the forms at least five days before the scheduled departure date through our Call Center.

  3. Please allow plenty of time to come to the check-in counter (around 90 minutes prior to departure) on the day of departure, as check-in procedures and security inspection may take time.

  4. For your safety, you are not permitted to select an exit row seat.

  5. SPRING JAPAN does not allow dialysis on flights.
