Children Traveling Alone (Junior Support Service)
Terms and Conditions
Junior Support Service allows children from 6 to 12 years old to travel alone.
Junior Support Service incurs a separate fee.
Junior Support Service is conditional, upon the fact that there will be a parent/guardian at the departure/arrival airport to see off and pick up your child.
If your child is carrying a GPS tracking device on them it will need to be turned off while onboard, because it may affect electronic devices on board.
Precautions when booking
Reservations for an unaccompanied minor cannot be made online. Please contact our Call Center.
The Junior Support Service fee will apply separately per child per sector.
The Junior Support Service fee is non-refundable.
Necessary Documents
You will be required to submit a Junior Support Service application form (serves as a Waiver Form).
Download it here.
Day of Departure
Please arrive at the airport early with plenty of time (about 90 minutes prior to departure). We will check the necessary documents when you check in.
At check in you will be provided a Junior Support Belt. Please ensure your child wears it.
Please accompany your child to the security checkpoint. SPRING JAPAN ground staff will assist your child from the security checkpoint.
SPRING JAPAN ground staff will accompany your child until boarding and will hand over your child to the cabin attendants.
Upon arrival, SPRING JAPAN ground staff at the destination airport will assist your child to the arrival lobby.
We will check the identification of the person waiting to meet your child in the arrival lobby and ask them to sign the necessary documents.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q1. Can I see my child off at the boarding gate?
A. Please accompany your child to the security checkpoint entrance. From the security checkpoint, SPRING JAPAN staff will assist your child to the boarding gate.
- Q2. I am unable to have someone pick my child up at the arrival airport. Is there a service to take my child from the arrival airport to the final destination?
A. There is no taxi service from the arrival airport to the final destination. Pick up by a parent or guardian at the arrival airport is a condition of the Junior Support Service, therefore they must be picked up.
