There is no limit to the number of baggage you can check in on Domestic flights.	The sum of the 3 dimensions must not exceed 203 cm per checked baggage. Baggage with dimensions exceeding 203 cm can be checked in as oversize baggage (charged) provided the longest side is within 277 cm and the sum of 3 dimensions is within 320 cm.	The weight limit is 30 kg per checked baggage. ＊The free checked baggage allowance varies depending on the fare type.Please check the Three Fare Types.

Information

1. Baggage allowance can be purchased only once in advance online or through our Call Center up to two hours prior to departure. Purchases through our Call Center must be made during business hours.

2. If you purchase additional services from our website or call center after making a flight reservation, we only accept credit card payments. If you prefer to pay in cash, please let us know at the airport check-in counter on the day of your flight. Please note that the prices at the airport counter may differ from the advance purchase prices (via website or call center).

3. For online purchases, the same currency at the time of ticket purchase will be applied. For purchases through our Call Center, the currency of the country of your departure airport will be applied.

4. The checked baggage fee is non-refundable.

How to add checked baggage allowance

1. Customers who have purchased tickets through our official website can purchase checked baggage allowance by logging in to your membership account and purchasing it from the reservation management page.

   ・Only one advance purchase per person (excluding infants) is allowed.

Oversize Baggage and Sports Equipment

1. Oversize baggage and sports equipment are not included in the checked baggage allowance and a separate fee will apply. For details, see the following additional Baggage Fees. Please pay the fee at the airport counter on the day of departure. The fee is non-refundable.

2. If the sum of 3 dimensions of a musical instrument exceeds 203 cm, we will accept the instrument for a fee (oversize baggage fee) provided the longest side is within 277 cm and the sum of 3 dimensions is within 320 cm.

3. SPRING JAPAN defines five types of sports equipment: golf equipment, surfboards, diving equipment, skis/snowboards, and bicycles. A tennis or badminton racket can be brought on board if it is within the carry-on limit of "1 personal item + 1 carry-on bag (weight limit 7 kg)." However, the size of the racket (the sum of 3 dimensions) must not exceed 115 cm. If it exceeds the carry-on size limit, you will be asked to check it in. Please note that tennis and sports bags for carrying the racket can be brought on board if they are within the size limit of normal carry-on baggage.

4. Firearms and swords such as hunting, sports firearms and Japanese swords cannot be checked in.

5. Golf equipment is charged as golf equipment regardless of the contents of the golf bag, the number of clubs and packaging conditions.

Oversize Baggage
If the sum of 3 dimensions exceeds 203 cm, we will accept it as oversize baggage provided the longest side is within 277 cm and the sum of 3 dimensions is within 320 cm. However, even if the longest side is within 277 cm, we may not be able to keep it depending on the baggage loading situation on the day of departure.
Sports Equipment/Golf Equipment
Golf equipment will be charged as golf equipment regardless of the contents of the golf bag or the packing condition of the golf clubs. Please store your golf clubs in your golf bag. If you do not have a golf bag, please pack it properly to withstand any impact. Even if you check in an empty golf bag, a sports equipment fee will apply. Please do not store anything other than golf equipment in your golf bag.
Sports Equipment/Surfboards
Includes kiteboards, bodyboards, etc. We can only accept items if the longest side is within 277 cm and the sum of 3 dimensions is within 320 cm.
Sports Equipment/Diving Gear
Leave the oxygen tank valve open and oxygen completely emptied from the tank.
Sport Equipment/Skis and Snowboards
For skis and snowboards, the sport equipment fee will apply for the whole set of skis, boots, poles, etc.Please pack them properly in a case to withstand any impact. Skis include children's plastic skis, short skis and water skis.
Sports Equipment/Bicycles
Release air from tires and any shock absorbers, pedals removed and the handlebars held in place parallel to the frame, pack them properly in a case or cardboard box to withstand any impact. Please note that SPRING JAPAN is not liable for any damage or loss caused by improper or inadequate packing. Electric bicycles and any electric-powered transportation item are not permitted in checked baggage and carry-on baggage.

Baby strollers and wheelchairs as checked baggage

Baby strollers and other items for infants
For baby strollers, infant car seats, carry-cots, and other such items for infants, one item per infant can be checked in at no fee. We do not have strollers, etc. available for loan.
Wheelchairs
For wheelchairs, walkers or mobility aids, one item per person can be checked in at no fee. There may be cases where we are unable to accept a wheelchair due to its size or weight. Therefore, check details beforehand and call SPRING JAPAN Call Center at least 5 days prior to the date of departure. Please download the Wheelchair Confirmation Form here. On the day of departure, once you have checked in your wheelchair, we will loan you a wheelchair for use around the airport.

Additional Seats for Baggage

1. This service allows you to book an empty seat next to your selected seat and place baggage that need special care such as musical instruments on the seat. To use this service, please contact our Call Center.

2. Seats available for purchase: Up to three seats in the same row and block (Rows A-C/D-F) adjacent to your selected seat.

3. Precautions for Use

1. ・Seats in the first row are not available for purchase because the armrests cannot be raised.

2. ・Exit row seats not permitted.

3. ・There is no seat selection fee or new reservation fee.

4. ・The additional baggage seat fee is non-refundable.

5. ・The weight limit of baggage placed on additional baggage seats is 75 kg.

6. ・Please secure your baggage with the seat belt or an in-flight extension belt.
